Fickle Finger of Fate

Climb the corner, stemming on both walls.

Climb face to deep groove near top.  Crux is getting into groove holds.

Climb the chossy shelf and clip the high first bolt.  Climb the light-colored overhang using jugs. The airy and exciting crux is pulling over the lip of the overhang and getting set up on the gray head wall. On the head wall, climb easier moves to the anchors up and left.

Climb the water streak, with crux at 3rd bolt.

Climb chossy lower section thru small roof about 9 feet up, then to slot hold, then go straight up to third bolt and to anchor straight above.  Crux (11b?) is on crimpers and small slots between second and third bolts.  Holds out left in groove make the rating ease off to 10d.

Climb the chossy shelf and clip the high first bolt. Grunt climb the crux overhang bulge and get set up on the gray vertical head wall. Climb less difficult but sustained moves up to anchor.

Start below the detached roof block up high.  Climb the crack with sharp edges in shallow left facing corner. Traverse left below the scary roof block that looks loose. After clipping the 3rd bolt, pulling and stepping over the overhang to get on the head wall is the airy crux.  On the head wall, clip the 4th bolt and climb left to 2-bolt/chain anchor.  Lower off into the trees.

A must-do route for sure.  Climb to the break and the first bolt.  Establish yourself on the undercling and work your way up the flake.

Climb face right of the flake.  Lower part of route has chossy crumbly rock.

Taller climbers might find this easier than 11c. Clip the high 1st bolt in overhang.  Climb the overhang using jugs and side-pulls.  Pulling and stepping over the lip of the overhang onto the head wall is the exciting airy crux.  On the head wall, clip the 4th bolt and climb to the anchor. Lower off into the trees. 

  10d variation: after 3rd bolt, traverse rightward and climb over lip of overhang to join Mark Us Dubious below 4th bolt.

Climb left of water streak. Look for nice little 2-finger pocket near 2nd bolt. Chossy lower section, but fun moves after high first bolt.

Climb the break to the first bolt.  Follow the steep jugs to hard face climbing.  Very sequential.

Climb face left of corner. Crux is last moves to anchor.

Climb face. 5.8 or 5.9.

Crux is between 1st and 2nd bolt.  After third bolt, veer right to anchor.

Climb right of dark water streak, up face to left of groove up high.

Climb up the shelf into the corner system.  Trad gear can be placed in the shelf crack.  There are some loose holds and loose rock on this route, like many POB routes.

Start on the right side of the obvious arete, where the first crux is a super-fun V2/3 boulder problem.  Surmount to the ledge for a no-hands rest before hopping onto the juggy face.  The second crux comes at the obvious protruding horn, where a slick high foot OR an awkward grunting leg-hook lurch may win the day.  Finish by turning the corner at the top under the roof.

Climb the face left of the arete.  Pull down on crimpers and small edges and slots past the third bolt to the groove, where the climbing eases off.  Climb up groove and veer right to the anchor shared with Alamo Arete.

Start below the left of two grooves at top of wall.  Make your way up to the groove, then up the groove and to the anchor at right.  Anchor is shared with Cowtown.

Start climbing The Monkey Lives Here and climb the right side of The Monkey Lives Here flake.

Shaded in the afternoon.  Good for escaping the heat unless the creek is dry.  Then it's like hot but still shaded.
