Start out traversing along a slab then head generally right past a few bolts until you gain crack. At the top of the crack angle back left for a few moves and then clip the anchors.

Valley Girl

Consistent, good climbing on decent rock. Straight up past 6 bolts. Shares the initial bolt with Jimnastics. This route goes straight up past the first bolt, where Jimnastics heads left.    

Climb over a few bulges and then follow the arete until you reach the anchors

A unique crux move to the right side of the arete leads to cool moves on the narrow ridge above. Alternatively, one can face climb the back side of the arete rather than moving up the narrow ridge. Big blocks are solid.

A very airy 5.8- buttress that gives you amazing views of the San Pedro Valley on you way up.  Also a good warm up for the day.

Start on an orange face, move right and into a seam, and then finish on a slabby face.  The movement in the seam is fantastic and there is plenty of friction for the feet.

Short face.  Longer more powerful moves than The Fire Inside to the right.

This climb is right of (Exposure In The Making) and can be toproped from the same anchors.

Short face.  Thinner than Sky Diamond to the left with a tricky crux. 

  You can scramble to near the anchors on this and Sky Diamond to get climber photos that avoid the dreaded butt shot.

Start off on slab and then climb a bulgy face.  This is a nice long route with pretty good rock.

Devious start past the first three bolts on loose, grainy rock. A bit easier in the middle of the route, and another crux up high on better rock.

Start under a small roof in a shallow corner and climb up on good holds.  I though the crux was the devious slab climbing above the steeper climbing.  Another good warm-up before you head down and around the corner.   

A fun and interesting route with a little of everything; slab/bulge move down low (crux), some underclings, and then a vertical face to reach the anchors. Consider a spot off the deck as a demanding clip stance occurs ~10 feet into the climb.

A newer climb to the crag to be sure, this lichen covered route offers varied 5.10 climbing on below average (for Mt Lemmon) rock. fairly sustained at 5.9-5.10 the entire climb, there is a low crux, pulling left from the corner onto the lower angled face, and a higher crux pulling a roof.

Striking orange face climbing.  Large holds and big moves down low lead to crux layback moves slightly above halfway.  Slabs out slighly at the top and keep your attention all the way to the chains.

Shares the first bolt with Thunderbirds, then heads left through steep terrain with mostly good holds. Eases up a bit and has a fun mantle to clip the chains. Good route.  

Some thoughtful slab climbing leads to amazing laybacking up steep face.  You'll know the crux when you get there.  Exit the layback using some interesting holds and push for the chains.        This is a great climb.

Crux is getting over the low bulge. A little harder if you try to climb over the third bolt instead of working left.

Sky Valley is one of the mid-mountain crags and is great for a warmer day area.  When there are waiting lines and everyone's dog hanging out at Ridgeline you can go here and get on some quality climbs without the feel of being at the gym.  This area consists of two crags and the climbing varies from slab to vertical to slightly overhanging.  Many climbs are shaded for most of the day as one crag is surrounded by large pines and the other's climbs are in a little grotto.All of the routes here are sport so all you need is a rope and a rack of draws and you are set.  Recommended climbs include: Exposure in the Making 5.8, Hunger for the Time 5.9+, Thunderbolts 5.11a, Driller on the Loose 5.11c/d, and Serial Driller 5.12b.
