 Start in left half off cliff, below right from tree about eight feet up which is directly below obvious notch at top of wall. Up to right side of tree, then angle left above tree (without using the tree for holds or support, but OK for body parts to touch the tree). After that easier straight up through the notch.

Interesting moves all the way, sustained in the difficulty grade. Wish it coud be longer.

 Crux is getting off the ground -- so if somebody gives the climber a "boost" to reach the big positive left of the tree, the rest is 5.2. Doing the opening sequence "free" with no help is 5.3 or maybe 5.4 (easier if taller or longer reach).

 Start in left half of cliff at base of left-trending gully, directly below a notch at the top of wall. Just left below from tree about eight feet up.

 Straight up past left side of tree. Then diagonal left up gully. Near the top go up straight or a bit right-ward.

Variation: A bit less than half-way up the diagonal gully exit Right horizontal onto face below the high notch and finish straight up (interesing 5.5).

Interesting moves in a variety of rock situations. Tricky crux moving across tree halfway up. . . . (overall difficulty of route only 5.5 if untie from rope when reach the tree, step around outside right of tree, then re-tie into belay rope).

 Start at base of crack system 5 ft right from 2-ft-deep left-facing inside corner. Up and Right to ledge just left of outside corner with 4-inch-thick tree. Around the corner going inside / above the tree. . . . (Grabbing or touching tree is OK, but likely does not help much). . . . (More important to find the best combination of hand- and foot-holds, otherwise significantly more strenuous / difficult).

 Around the corner find South-facing slab which forms the right end of this cliff. Up that to its top.

Interesting moves the whole way, with a strenuous hand-traverse near top. . . . (Less-strong climbers on top-rope can play with the lower two-thirds). . . . (Would be higher quality if taller and more uniform difficulty).

 Start in 2-ft-deep Left-facing inside corner in right half of cliff, under triangular semi-roof 10 ft up. Over Right to base of crack system five ft right from the corner. Up that to get feet in pod at base of obvious left-trending ramp. Diagonal up left to reach dark alcove below higher roof - (OK to use top of higher ramp above this one for handholds, or use rock above that higher ramp). Next instead of pulling over roof, make a rising hand-traverse (crux) in the crack going up diagonal right, and finish at right end of top of cliff.

Lots of interesting moves in different rock situations. High crux is reachy, . . . (Less-strong climbers on top-rope can play with the lower two-thirds).

 Start in 2-ft-deep Left-facing inside corner in right half of cliff, under triangular semi-roof 10 ft up. Up the corner and pass right of semi-roof. Diagonal Left up ramp to dark alcove under higher roof . . . - > without touching hands anywhere on top of or above the top of the less-steep left-trending ramp above this ramp. . . . (but OK to undercling below that ramp's top; Also OK getting near alcove to pinch a hold which is below a higher hold which extends the line of the higher ramp). . . . (anyway whatever makes it into an interesting challenge for you).

 Pull the roof above top of ramp (likely much harder for climbers less tall than 5ft6inch with normal reach), then up to the top.

Small cliff near bigger ones. About 25-30 ft tall, facing mainly SouthWest. Lots of fun interesting featiures on the routes: Too bad it's not taller.

 Cool weather days nice in afternoon due to favorable exposure. Much is shaded by mature trees, so not as hot as might expect on hot afternoons.

 Top-Roping: Accessing the top of the cliff by scrambling up around the right side works but steep + slippery. Left side is a bit friendlier. The top is mostly fairly flat and there are several natural anchor points.

 Name: Jon Crefeld -- classic male hero type ... who deploys his powers for good in the modern age -- U.S.Army ranger ... writer / actor / producer of videos ... Mountain guide both locally and other regions, enabling many NJ-PA-NY climbers to get out for learning and adventure. When the big nearby Powerlinez climbing area was unknown to all but a few, Jon wrote and published the first guidebook, so that the larger community could enjoy the challenges of its interesting rock.
