Short hard crux of thin face moves down low with more moderate climbing to the anchors. There are some fun reaches getting to the shelf and then a bit more sustain pump above that. 

  Maybe one can aid to the 2nd bolt and then redpoint from there and call it 11a or so...

Difficult start left of first bolt, then make your way right. Fairly sustained 5.10 climbing. Definitely worth doing.

Fairly sustained climbing, fun.  Crux is not only getting over the roof, but to the next bolt.  Backwards from many Munchkinland climbs in having a relatively easy start to thinner moves above.

Crux down low and sketchy around second bolt, but good moves.

Hard moves into and off of an undercling.  The move is not intuitive and has thwarted many an onsight specialist.  As with most routes at this crag the crux is down low but it is well protected.  This route is hard to impossible if you are below 5'6".  We have painted a yellow line at the bottom, if you can't touch it ignore this rating.  (Just kidding)!

Like most Munchkinland routes the crux is low.  The tree is close but not in the way and not very helpful.

The crux is near the bottom.  It is a great sequence with interesting feet. Pass through to easier climbing above.  If the route was a little more sustained at the grade, it would probably get three stars.  Depending on your sequence, the crux will feel pretty hard or not so bad.

Face climbing to slabby section then over the bulge.

A bit close to a tree at times. Some choose to use the tree rather than hanging on a bolt. You might have to take off a number grade or two if you do this, but it is still climbing.  If you don't think about it being there you will hardly notice it and probably will not use the tree.  Rumor has that The Viking did.

I have not seen any description of this either here on MP or in Squeezing The Lemmon II, although since Munchkinland is such a popular area I am sure others must have done it before...regardless here it is:   Between "Lions And Tigers And Bears!" and "There's No Place Like Home" is a right arching thin finger crack. Follow the crack up to the roof, step a foot or two left on the ledge below the roof then turn the roof and follow the intermittent cracks up to the anchors of "There's No Place Like Home".

Thin start to crimpy sidepulling.  Hope you've got titanium fingertips.

Typical Munchkin 5.10, fairly sustained, variety of holds, etc.

Starts up the obvious crack behind a tree right of ...And Toto Too. Pretty fun. Decent gear. You have to use the anchors to the left or right. Best part about this climb is you can lean back on the tree to place gear or send a text message. If you were planning on going to the Wall of the Trundling Trolls, but now you're feeling lazy, you can use your gear here.

 One day we were heading to Wall of the Trundling Trolls but hung out at Munchkinland too long, and it was my daughter's nap time. Someone said here's a gear route. I climbed it. I don't know anything else about it. I also suck at grading climbs and give too many stars to everything that goes generally up.

The route is located on the Wall of Marching Munchkins. Some new routes have appeared on this wall, so don't rely on counting the bolted lines in Squeezing II alone. 

  Start up on a good sidepull to very thin face and moves off of small to non-existent (smear) footholds. The crux is located at bolts 3 and 4. The climbing gets easier up high and then has some interesting slab moves to get to the anchors.

Fun route, reasonably sustained, good variety of moves and holds, a little spiciness but well protected.  The usual Munchkinland stuff, but better than average quality.  Pay attention up high so you don't go the wrong way.(Watch for prints left by the Chalk Monster).

A little more technical than burly, but sustained enough to make you work.  Good route.

Lots of very important footwork on this route. You gotta have your sequence nailed. Its a tricky one to figure out. 

xxx Beware xxx Onsight Spoiling Beta:

  Start on large foothold ledges with extremely thin hands. I mean THIN crimps, but the feet are so good that it is not too bad. Dance your way up a few moves to some sidepulls so that you are like a human pair of locking pliers. Crank hard with technical foot work to gain the 2nd clip. Then a tricky move right yields to you the hold that you want. Work your way up this sidepull system to a nice slot on the left by the 3rd bolt and get ready to sustain pump non-obvious moves to the 4th bolt. Then you are golden with 5.9/10 moves to the top. 

Insanely hard, sharp start with lousy feet into some longer reaches and lots of sharp side-pulling.  Sustained.   The book calls this 11-.  My partner and I felt it was a full number grade harder than Ruby Slippers.

Nice moderate route with good pro and a couple of bolts that protect this and the route to the left.

I don't want to tell you where the crux is.  Just know that it's the hardest part of the climb. After the crux, it's 9ish climbing to the chains.   

  Guidebook = 11a. I thought more like solid 11, even though there's only a couple hard moves.

Munchkin Wall is a long cliffband of pretty good rock that faces in a generally northern direction along the ridgetop. There's a pretty good range of difficulty here, from 5.7 all the way to 5.12. This is a pretty good spot for the hotter parts of the year, but get an early start as the sun swings around and will hit the face later in the day from the west. Very popular climbing area!
